Thousands of attendees visited the Christian Resources Exhibition (CRE) in Surrey on October 17-19, 2017. CRE is Europe’s biggest Christian trade show where you can buy church supplies, resources, and gather great ideas, reports Premier.

Dubbed as a one-stop shop, CRE offered a myriad of church-oriented products. From technology, clothing, and professional services, to church decorations and quirky items, whatever a church needs, it was available at CRE.

“The pupils are learning a whole new ecclesiastical vocabulary that includes ‘chasubles’ and ‘thuribles’ – all part of a well-rounded education!” said Steve Goddard, Managing Director of CRE.

“It’s a big bazaar of everything you can imagine – and an awful lot you probably wouldn’t have thought of that are useful for those working in church leadership,” said Brett Pitchfork, CRE’s organizer.

Almost 200 suppliers displayed their products and offered their services during the three-day event. Redemptorist Publications and The Communion of International Catholic Churches were two of the organizations which joined CRE, Inspire Magazine reports.

At the opening of the exhibit, the all-girls choir of Notre Dame School, Cobham serenaded the crowd. The group sang its fun rendition of a Eurovision-winning song “All Kinds of Everything.”

“The pupils are learning a whole new ecclesiastical vocabulary that includes ‘chasubles’ and ‘thuribles’ – all part of a well-rounded education!” said Steve Goddard, Managing Director of CRE.

In addition to a vibrant marketplace, CRE offered workshops and seminars for youth leaders. Topics relevant to the youth were discussed in the seminars, including cyber security and having a greener church.

Pitchfork said, “CRE is all about dedicated men and women on dozens of stands offering specialist advice on all kinds of everything for all types of church. No wonder so many people call it the ‘ideal church show’.”

He revealed that many people from different churches visited the exhibition. “Everyone from the Sunday school teacher through to bishops are here to explore what’s new and what’s available to their ministries.”
