    Three hundred million people are now using the popular Bible App, YouVersion, according to Premier.

    The Bible app lets users to read the Bible, bookmark and highlight favorite verses, and share inspirational Bible passages through various social media platforms. The online Bible is available in 1,635 versions representing 1,171 languages.

    Angola has seen a dramatic increase in people using the Bible app, with a 733 percent more Angolans installing the app compared to previous data.

    The most shared verse is Joshua 1:9, “This is my command — be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

    According to YouVersion, users have read 17.7 million chapters in the Bible, “39 million Bible plans completed, 120 million verse images created and 222 million verses shared.”

    The report also showed that 10.8 verses have been shared each second in 2017, UG Christian News reports.

    The most shared verse is Joshua 1:9, “This is my command — be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

    Each country has a different verse popular among its citizens. Jeremiah 29:11 is the most read verse in Kenya. It says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

    In Egypt, Joshua 1:9 is a favorite verse, while in Vietnam, it’s John 3:16.

    YouVersion founder and Life.Church Pastor Bobby Gruenewald said, “We believe the Bible is an enduring source of courage and strength.” He added that the organization is delighted to see that more and more people are interacting online using inspirational quotes from the Bible.

    YouVersion revealed that it is working to have the New Testament translated for 99.9 percent of the world’s population by 2033.
